Here's what I did: got plain canvas-hobby lobby, googled chevron patterns-found the one i liked, and printed it cut out one stripe of it, and trace on the canvas. This part seriously took forever. I then traced with my gray paint every single line with a foam brush. Took forever too! Then I filled it in. The lines weren't perfect anymore. I thought it wouldn't bug me if I just put on the vinyl, but then I got white paint and did the lines all over again to make them straight.
So this is in no way a fast project, it takes like 2 hours or more. I let it dry over night, and then used my silhouette to cut my vinyl. I use press n' seal for transfer tape-works pretty good and is much cheaper than transfer tape. Anyways, I love the way it turned out, and the gray is the perfect shade of gray. It's called Winter Storm from Ace!
